Our premium quality high purity* medical grade calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) is manufactured in the United States in a state-of-the-art facility. Merz Biomaterials has been a manufacturer of hydroxyapatite for over ten years. Merz manufactured hydroxyapatite is distributed globally to multiple industries, which include the medical, dental, biomedical and orthopedic arenas.
*High Purity meets or exceeds the ASTM F1185-03 standard for implant grade of 95% pure.
Particle Size and Shape
Size for our CaHA ranges from 5 – 200 μm. Calcium powder spherical particles or round shaped granules can be produced in quantities of grams to metric tons; we can customize and blend to suit your needs.
Future Product Offerings
Merz Biomaterials is committed to innovation and development of various calcium phosphate based bioceramics that support our customers’ needs. Current efforts involve the development of Beta Tricalcium Phosphate (β-TCP), different biologic activity particles, flowable bioceramic solutions for use in 3D printers, and printed 3D bioceramic objects.
